Journalist, Educator, Writer, Lecturer

Nomi Morris is an international journalist and educator in media writing and narrative nonfiction. She is also an essayist and  a lecturer on media and international affairs.

Nomi is based in California, where she teaches in the Writing Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She formerly taught at the USC Annenberg School for Journalism in Los Angeles, and earlier served as Program Chair for Visual Journalism at Brooks Institute in Ventura.

Nomi has written for TIME, Newsweek, Maclean’s, the Miami Herald, the Philadelphia Inquirer,  The Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, and many other news organizations. You can find Nomi’s recent work in such publications as the Los Angeles Review of Books, the Los Angeles Times, and Ascent literary journal. In addition to teaching, she is currently working on various nonfiction and fiction writing projects.
